How it all started...
Pastor Gus Gonzalez faithfully served at a thriving church in Irving, Texas from 2012 to 2017. He began his ministry as an usher, demonstrating a heart for service and a willingness to meet the needs of others. In 2014, he was commissioned as an Associate Pastor, completed theological training, and became a licensed minister. In 2017, God placed a clear calling on Pastor Gus’ heart to plant a church. Together with his wife, Kristina, they opened the doors of their home and began gathering people for worship, prayer, and the teaching of God’s Word. With unwavering faith, Pastor Gus told Kristina, “God has to move—I believe.” From that simple act of obedience, Blueprint Church was born. Blueprint Church was established with a mission to bring people back to God’s original design, restoring lives through the transforming power of Jesus Christ. What began in a living room, has become a place where individuals and families encounter hope, healing, and purpose. Pastor Gus’ testimony is one of redemption and God’s restoring grace. Having overcome an abusive childhood, addiction, incarceration, and countless hardships, he has experienced firsthand the life-changing power of the gospel. Today, he considers it one of his greatest privileges to shepherd God’s people, helping others discover that no past is beyond God’s ability to redeem. Alongside his wife, Kristina, Pastor Gus continues to lead with authenticity, compassion, and a deep commitment to seeing lives transformed by the love of Christ. His passion is to equip believers, reach the lost, and build a church that reflects God’s blueprint for His people and His Kingdom.
Expanding the vision...
2017, Pastor Gus expanded his ministry beyond the church walls by teaching the Word of God in correctional facilities throughout Texas. He began ministering in the Dallas County Jail, where he has faithfully shared the hope, grace, and transforming power of Jesus Christ with incarcerated men. Drawing from his own testimony of redemption, Pastor Gus has inspired countless individuals to believe that their past does not define their future. As the ministry continued to grow, Pastor Gus diligently searched for a permanent home for Blueprint Church in Irving. Through prayer, faith, and the support of a committed team of leaders, God opened the door to a building that would become the church’s home and a place where lives continue to be transformed. From the beginning, Blueprint Church has been committed to serving its community. Under Pastor Gus and Kristina’s leadership, the church has partnered with organizations such as Keep Irving Beautiful and Irving Cares, while also regularly serving the homeless through outreach events, meals, and acts of compassion. Their mission has always extended beyond the four walls of the church—to be the hands and feet of Jesus by loving, serving, and meeting the practical and spiritual needs of the community.
